I see paper versions of documents as more important then my digital files. For example if I find an article in my research that I think is particularly relevent I will print it out because I am worried I will forget about it if it just becomes another file on my computer. In theory it should be easier to find the digital file with all the search mechanisms available on a computer but the real issuse is that I may forget the article exists. Out of sight out of mind I guess. Where as if I have a physical copy I am more likely to remember I have it.
